But because of the increasingly global economy, the inconsistent provision of benefits to LGBT employees, partners, and families from country to country can create complicated immigration and workplace issues for multinational corporations. LGBT rights activists around the world are increasingly in search of partnerships with business leaders to help them advocate for fair treatment and fair laws in their own countries. The Council for Global Equality strives to build connections between corporations doing global business and those leading advocacy efforts on behalf of LGBT citizens and employers.
